Brandon McClain is the Founder & CEO of McClain Advisory Group, an executive advisory firm focused on helping transportation, logistics, and private equity-backed companies accelerate growth, improve profitability, and increase enterprise value through experienced commercial leadership.

With more than 25 years of executive leadership experience, Brandon has built a reputation for leading organizations through growth, transformation, turnarounds, acquisition integration, and commercial optimization initiatives. His expertise spans freight forwarding, contract logistics, warehousing and distribution, ground transportation, cross-border logistics, and integrated supply chain solutions across North America, Latin America, Asia-Pacific, and global markets.

Throughout his career, Brandon has held senior leadership positions with some of the world’s leading transportation and logistics organizations, including Maersk, Sealand, CEVA Logistics, and UPS. While operating within global enterprises, many of the challenges he was asked to solve required entrepreneurial thinking, speed, accountability, and disciplined execution.

His leadership accomplishments include generating more than $400 million in revenue growth by transforming customer engagement strategies and building executive-level relationships, leading the commercial turnaround of a transportation business operating at approximately an 11% EBIT loss and achieving break-even performance within seven months, doubling regional profitability from $20 million to $44 million, securing the largest air freight account win in company history, and leading the turnaround of an Asia-Pacific healthcare business from a 23% decline to 28% growth.

Brandon believes sustainable business success is created when commercial strategy, operational execution, financial discipline, and leadership accountability work together. His approach combines the strategic rigor of global enterprises with the practicality and agility required in founder-led, middle-market, and private equity-backed organizations.

Today, Brandon partners with CEOs, founders, investors, boards, and leadership teams through Interim Chief Commercial Officer engagements, Fractional Chief Commercial Officer leadership, Commercial Growth Assessments, and Post-Acquisition Commercial Integration initiatives.

His mission is simple: build scalable commercial growth engines, strengthen profitability, and create lasting enterprise value.
